National Parks Service Panel
Break Down Crew
The panel presentation was the last educational event in a series over the course of three days. They had invited four industry professionals from the United States National Parks Service to speak to Parks and Recreation majors and graduates within our RPTS program. The guest speakers were allotted thirty minutes each to inspire and instill conscious efforts of continued preservation within the next generation of Park advocates. The panel was followed by a small reception of hor d’oeuvres provided by D’vine Cuisine. I believe that the panel went well, however I was actually a bit confused by the marketing material, as I was under the impression that this was a come-and-go event. It most definitely wasn’t. There was a large turnout, so large in fact, that there was a bit of overflow attendees standing in the back of the audience. I also couldn’t help but notice any extra conversations that were happening between the implementation team as a result of the lower than average PA system. I also noticed that the photo booth wasn’t being used that often, probably due to the seated and quiet nature of the presentation. Otherwise, the décor, guest speakers and food were all very successful.
