As an academic department's event, this time was to create a relaxing and social experience for the students and staff within the Agrilife Sciences college.

This event went very smoothly with scheduling and activities. The decorations and food were very appropriate and well thought out. Although, I overheard many people confused or complaining about why the King's Cake was on a schedule. The purpose was to present an award to the lucky person who received the baby in their slice. This was not clearly explained to the attendees and the cake was gone quickly after announcement. This could have been avoided with a variety of cakes being brought out every hour to support the demand. They also could have added a sign next to the dessert table stating that every cake king receives a T shirt. Also, their catering order was incorrect when they recieved it. I believe that could have easily been avoided by having the catering team member be in charge of pick up rather than relying on delivery. Overall, I believe the day was a success.
