This annual event supports the small businesses within the Downtown Bryan area while showcasing Texas Vineyards and vendors to the public.

While assisting my assigned vineyard, I learned the importance of planning for the weather. Texas Reds Fest is always within the same time in late summer and it very hot during the day. Although they had fans and tents provided, the crowd didn't grow significantly until the evening time. During my mere 3 hours of volunteering, we had to refresh the ice for the white wine every hour, and many of the free water bottles available were not iced down. This event could reduce risk and improve experience by moving their date to a more pleasant season or perhaps to evening only activities.
